Centennialista is recognized as the official Filipino association of Centennial College. Our club serves as a conduit for CCSAI activities. We provide ourselves as a welcoming hub for students.
Centennialista is 1 of the 26 Student Clubs in Canada under the membership of FILCASA, an umbrella community organization created to harness the potential of an emergent generation of Filipino students at Canadian colleges and universities, formed to unite them beyond the confines of individual campuses.
More than just a hub for Centennial College students, we’re a welcoming community for their family and friends too. Our mission is to foster strong connections both online and in-person, building a tight-knit network that embraces Filipino culture and celebrates togetherness.
Get to know the Centennialista officers for the school year 2023-2024. Connect with them online or meet them in-person at our events. Rest assured, our officers are not only helpful but also dedicated to providing unwavering support to our vibrant community.
Hello kababayans! It’s Laine from the beautiful city of Iloilo, Philippines. Back home, I graduated in B.S. Packaging Engineering but right now I’m pursuing a Business degree since I plan to become my own boss someday, hopefully.
If I’m not binge-watching various films and TV series, I’d most probably be reading epic fantasy books so if you’re into Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings, feel free to fangirl with me 😁 It’s a great opportunity and honor to be part of this wonderful Filipino community where friendship and camaraderie prospers.
I will do my very best to serve our organization and uphold our wonderful culture!
Let’s go Filipinos!
Mayap a abak, gatpanapun at bengi kekayu ngan!
My name is Katrina Ann Vitug, you can call me Trina. I came from Pampanga, Philippines. I took BSBA major in Marketing Management at Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
During my studies, I joined different organizations in our school and was an administrative assistant. My active participation involved event management, handling papers, and eventually became president of the Letran Junior Marketing Association.
I was also a tour organizer and became a virtual assistant before I came here. That’s why I took Office Administration – Executive. Oh yes! I love organizing things and it makes my heart full serving other people. Hopefully, I can give you the service you deserve. I love spending my spare time with family and friends or in the garden planting.
Mabuhay! My name is Angela Ventura, but you can call me Angela or Vent •ᴗ• I am currently taking up Human Resources Management, hoping to become a CHRL in the future! I have an educational background in Clinical Psychology and have worked in the Recruitment and Administration industry for 4 years.
I am outgoing and friendly in nature, and ALWAYS approachable. I am very open to becoming anyone’s go-to person for advice or even just a friendly conversation. I am a dog mom of 5 and a very dedicated advocate of animal rights! I also love the beach (follow me on social media and you’ll see! lol), so being in this cold environment is an adjustment for me. Nonetheless, I am still excited to explore more of Canada in the years to come.
Je m’appelle Ernesse mais tu peux m’appeler Nessy. I hail from the City of Iloilo, Philippines. At the moment, I am a student in the Global Business Management program. As you can see from my introduction, I am also a big fan of the French language however I can’t say it’s a big fan of me!
My hobbies include pretending I’m in a music video when I’m on the bus, struggling to draw, and struggling to code. If you like the shows Bojack Horseman and Inside Job, drop me a dm. I’m still not over their cancellations.
Uy! Kamusta?
I’m Joseph Duran, and I’m from Paranaque, Philippines. I majored in culinary arts with a BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management at De La Salle College of St. Benilde back home. I’m now enrolled in global business management.
I continue to practice my cooking techniques throughout my spare time. I enjoy experimenting with many unique flavours and pairing them. I work on this while watching “The Office,” which is my favourite tv series. Being a part of the dynamic Filipino community on campus is a fantastic opportunity.
I joined Centennialista in order to spread positivity within the community and make the most of my status as an international student studying in Canada.
Hey there! My name is Ian Gin Lontoc. You can call me “Gin” like the drink. I’m a nurse by profession but an entrepreneur by heart who’s constantly on the go.
I’ve always had a curious nature, and that’s what led me to study Office Admin General and now Marketing Management at Centennial College. When I’m not busy with school, you can find me doing a number of things. I absolutely love reading books and engaging in deep and meaningful conversations about life, dreams, and ambitions, but I also enjoy having a good laugh and creating silly Tiktok videos. When it’s time to unwind, nothing beats a good anime session. And who doesn’t love to sing and eat new foods? In other words, I’m always up for trying something new!
That’s why when I heard about the Centennialista Filipino Association, I knew I had to be a part of it. I’m excited to meet and connect with like-minded individuals who are just as passionate about helping, learning, and growing their network.
As Centennialistas we strive to entwine the threads of Filipino heritage and Canadian diversity into a vibrant tapestry of cultural unity, where every individual’s uniqueness contributes to a stronger, tightly-knit community.
