At Centennialista, we are a welcoming and vibrant community of students at Centennial College with a shared dedication to exploring and celebrating Filipino-Canadian culture. Our inclusive spirit embraces individuals of all creeds and nationalities, extending a warm invitation to all who seek to immerse themselves in the richness of Filipino-Canadian heritage. As the Centennialista Family, we unite to foster a sense of belonging and promote cultural appreciation, making a positive impact on campus and beyond.
Founded in 2021 by Vicky Pascual, a driven first-year Business Accountancy student at Centennial College, formerly an OFW from Singapore and new to Canada, our journey began with a simple vision – to create a platform where students could connect, support each other, and foster a sense of belonging within the college community.
What started as a quest for information and camaraderie as a newly arrived immigrant has blossomed into one of the most active and prolific groups within CCSAI (Centennial College Student Association Inc.). Through dedication and a shared passion for inclusivity, Centennialista has evolved into a thriving club, leaving a mark on the college landscape.
Our dedication to building a tight-knit community has been recognized and celebrated, as we were proudly awarded the ‘Club of The Year’ in 2022-2023. This accolade serves as a testament to the commitment and enthusiasm of our members, who continue to shape Centennialista into a welcoming haven for students from all walks of life.
